Still length on the timeline

Hi everyone

Might be a silly questionbut here we go, I am working on a large slide project with 2000+ stills that have been imported into vegas with a default lenght of 10 seconds with a 2 second transition between each photo. I would like to change the still length for all the stills to 8 seconds. Is this possible without having to re-import all the photos.

Thanks

I'm sure that apps such as Excalibur and Ultimated S can do this easily.
I don't thave them though so here's my workaround.
Click the first event on the timeline. Shift-click the last one. Press G to group them all together.
Place the cursor at the end of the last one and, while holding the CTRL key down, drag it backwards to the desired length.
If you really wanted to , you could figure out the new length, drop a marker on the timeline at that point, and drag back to the marker.
Be advised that this will affect (shorten) the transition duration.

Mike

edit: I should've know there'd be a script for this. Thanks Edward!

A script. There are some you pay for and maybe some free (try the VASST site).

Other than that I can only think of speeding up the whole track with the velocity envelope (and why not?)

Yes, via scripts. There's a "Set Event Length and Crossfade" script that can be freely download (I think it's on the VASST site). Excalibur and Ultimate S will also do that task and a whole lot more related to slide shows such as automatically generating "Ken Burns" type movements instantly to all images.

How's that for sync answers? Check the times and the content of the previous three posts.
