Still picture of a frame and raise voice from original tape

I captured my Hi-8 cassette and now I am editing.
How do I make a still picture of a frame.
Sometimes the event is so shaky (road signs while driving or just plain shaky take....)? or to use for title. I used to pause while editing manually ...
How do I raise the voice from the original tape.
A speaker had a very low voice and I would like to make it louder or clearer?
Thanks to whomever.... a rookie...

I've copied some of this from another posting:
From the Capture application, click on the Capture Image button. Or:
From the Timeline application, position the slider on the frame required to grab the still image and click on the floppydisk icon over the preview window.
To raise volumne right click in at start of required audio track and modify accordingly.
I think that's right anyway. I'm fairly new also.

Hi Laz
I found very good answers to my questions
1-) Audio
April 17,2002 posted by Grazie.Subject Audio rubberbanding.
I followed the instructions to the T and it worked in my experiment.... Quite happy there.
2-) Still frames

Those 2 guys have priceless infos for novice like me...
I guess I didn't look far back enough for these still frames...
The first one was posted after my questions...
Thanks and hope you find your answers too....
I love this VideoFactory after battling with VideoWave.4..... Thanks to Chienworks who encourage me to download the trial version. The forum is great...

Thanks

I know, the people here are great. More and more folks are coming over from VW after tearing their hair out and wishing they's discovered VF a lot sooner.

Thanks for your kind words. You might want to check out my approach to tyring mon into what I called "Pseudo Stereo". It's really good to be able to share with others what I've found out as a rookie. - I just looove this programme! Laz is absolutely correct - 1 year with VW 3 and 5 did take its toll. Look for my new posting asking for a solution on L/J edits - read the posting for fuller explanation!

Cheers
