still pictures

When I make a video using stills, on the computer the pictures look great. The produced product usually is to bright.I have to tell my friends to turn brightness all the way down on tv.Video productions are fine. I'M producing to dv Via firewire.

I may just be a question of adjusting the monitor settings to compensate. Do you have the same thing with video?

video is fine. Mostley it happens with scanned pics with dark backgrounds.Like I say it looks great on preview.Let me adjust monitor. Thanks for suggestion
