I've now tried 4 times to download dreamlx FX1 footage . . best I've got is 60mbs and then the server falls over . . ugghhh.... so, can somebody recommend a free s/w dowloading prog. I used to have something called crocodile or aligator . .or something . . my memory is .. er . . what's the word . .? It could have been called Penguin for all I remember!

So, any suggestions will be heeded! TIA . .

Firefox allows you to pause and resume downloads.
Getright trialware includes spyware
Reget is another one I don't use.

But usually the server has to support resuming.

I have GetRight (the paid-for version) but I consistantly find that using Opera is so secure and stable (and "resume transfer-able") that I use nothing else.

I've heard some people say they don't like it but I swear by it and have it on 4 different computer's:
Download Accelerator Plus

I've noticed someitmes I will have like 5-10different connections to the same server. Needless to say, my downloads are pretty quick on both my Cable & T1. It also has resume and a log of all files and holds the information of the servers and blah blah blah. I like it... maybe it will work for you also.

those stills are pretty sweet... in order to view 'em natively, be sure to disable "enable automatic image resizing" in internet explorer.
