"Still waters run deep"

As a legitimate user of one of the greatest NLE's available to a financially challenged Producer such as myself, I am overwhelmed with profounded relief that my development in being a proficient user of Vegas Pro editing software will remain consistent in my quest to master this art of storytelling using moving pictures..
The Corporate world component of what has now become of Vegas had the arduous task of not misguiding an already robust customer base with speculation of what the new owners were going to do with our favorite NLE.
I have to admit that I was getting somewhat apprehensive about my continued support by buying software and learn and grow with it as a professional.
Sony kind of sat back and let a lot of people on this and other forums almost predict its demise and didn't do a whole lot of dispelling of seemingly legit predictions.. They remained very calm throughout this period of us not knowing if there would be a version14.. Seems risky, as I'm sure some long time users probably drifted away.
For me, knowing now that a version 14 is in the "Pipeline", suggests that the future of the software I have dedicated a lot of my time to learn may not be disturbed and I can continue with a focus on my personal development as an Editor.
With the current "Workflow" and hardware I'm using now, I'm pretty satisfied with what Vegas Pro's 12 and 13 is capable of doing now.
I am looking forward to maybe "Elevating" my game with new and improved performance and features that will make me worthy of the title "Professional".
