it crashed everytime i used AVI files, just started to do it out of the blue all of the time. Peice of crap woudnt fix despite trying everything... took the oppertunity to try the vegas demo, saw the potential in it so got a full version and im glad to say im begining to much prefere it to premiere. Its alot easier to do things, tho there are alot more things you have to learn, you cant just discover from looking around the menus for a few minutes like in premiere. Such as clicking next frame... i had to ask and find out it was click F9 where as premiere you just click the next frame button.... and having to know how to move the windows about once they click into place....but despite having to learn this stuff id still say its easier to use.

You can not preview to external monitor while trying to save a frame to a picture. Also the preview quality directly relates to the output of your frame.

I use GOOD or BEST in full frame mode and the 'floppy' icon above the preview window will let you save JPEG or PNG images of your timeline.

Cheers.

"...without reading a fat ass intruction manual..."

Why is it people refuse to read the manual? Are they too important, busy or lazy to be bothered with such minutiae?
