Stitching split events

I split an event into 2 using 'S'. I did a bunch of changes to the project and now I want to merge/stitch those two split events (which are next to each other on the video track) into one event. How do I do that without having to do a bunch of undos (which would erase all my other changes).

Lots of ways. Here are 2.

1- Put your mouse on the split event dividing line and hold the ctrl key while dragging to the right which will cover and remove the second unwanted event.

2- Simply delete the second event and then drag the first event out to the right until if fills the deleted event position completely.

My preference, and by far the easiest method, is to simply ignore that they're split and do nothing. It really doesn't make much difference one way or the other.
