You will need to add a keyframe on the path that shows the linear motion (it moving from left to right or right to left, etc.). Add a keyframe where you want it to stop and then another where you want it to start again. You can add keyframes by double clicking.

Thanks for the tip. One more question. I have the first point to pause text on the path at .26 and the second point at .29 which holds the text pretty good but with a little movement. I can't seem to control/move the second point precisely enough to put it at .26.
Also, the text is really faded, which I haven't had a problem with before. I went into text edit and increased the intensity and it seems to work, but as soon as I exit the text edit mode it fades again. I don't know what I changed or am doing wrong.

Does your text have a fade to it? You will see a curve going up or down on the ptt timeline. A good way to tell is if you play the event on the timeline and it fades in or out. If so, you may be viewing it in PTT over the faded portion of the event. If you want to shorten the effect up or prolong it, just click on the end of the PTT timeline and drag it in or out depending on which one you want to do.

As far as moving the other keyframe, zoom in on the timeline in PTT and slide it over one way or the other until you get it where you want it. I am not in front of my editor right now, but you may be able to sync the cursor to the timeline within PTT to get an accurate placement. Another method would be to just move your PTT generated media on the vegas timeline to where the effect you want at .26 starts at .26.
