Story Book view

I'm a convert from Pinnacle (because Pinnacle is a crashing nightmare and Sony is a rock solid product), however, Pinnacle has a "stroy book" view in the editor that I really liked. It allowed me to view all my recorded segments at once and was easy to move things around that way and see what was coming up, etc.
Is there an equivalant view in Movie Studio?

Thereis no equivalent view, as far as I am aware.

i converted from Movie Edit Pro which has both a Storyboard and a Time line view. In some aspects was better - there was a scene overview mode, for example, that allowed me to view all my clips at once, rearrange them, and delete them (more powerful than Storyboard mode).

However, after a while, you don't miss such features. Besides, you can achive the same effect by using the explorer window and viewing clips as thumbnails.

VMS doesn't have story boarding, but you can do the initial organising with a 3rd party app. I use J. River's Media Center for organising my media - video, digital photos and music. You can arrange video clips and stills in a playlist and then drag and drop the whole thing into the timeline, retaining the order.

That said, Worley's quite right - once you get used to timeline editing you'll find that storyboarding isn't that useful. I found that not having it forced me to apply more thought to what I wanted to do, which made the finished product a whole lot better!
