Just began to use AVCHD Upshift to transcode AVCHD files
from my new Panasonic HMC 151E (PAL) and did some testing.
Here what I found
Source file:50 Mb file AVCHD 1920x1080 720p 21 mbps (PAL)
transcoded with high quality template 10 sek
" " proxy template 14 sek
Thats a big difference on such a small file
It should be the other way around

In "help" you can read under proxy template:
"This preset is for quickly converting files for immediate use..."

and under Highest quality template:
"This is the longest encode time of all ..."

Anyone using Upshift who can explain and/or give advice
on templates or own user defined settings that work well
with Vegas 8,0c?
