Strange? Event Velocity -100 & Burn to DVD

I have been creating videos using Vegas 5.0 (ofcourse), some scenes
I would reverse the scene (event velocity -100). When I render to mpeg
and view it on my computer everything seems great (at that scene).

When I burn to DVD and play it on my set top dvd player I notice that the scene with the event velocity applied to it stutters when the scene is panned?

It took me a while to figure it out, then I deceided to check out the .veg
on all the videos that had the stuuter at that scene and noticed all the
stuttering (DVD) scenes had the event velocity with -100 applied to them.

Anybody know what the reason is????

Alex Morias

Only guessing here. Would reversing a scene cause the field order to reverse?

perhaps, my thinking is that the event velocity is very resourse intense
that the player has trouble playing it smoothly?

Just my guess.

The resources needed to process event velocity wouldn't matter during playback. After the rendering process is complete those resources aren't being used anymore, and you can't play back the clip until after rendering. For that matter, event velocity is processed on your computer, not your DVD player.

the field order does reverse

Can I change the field order just for that clip?????

Or is this only done at rendering time?

you would have to split off that section and crop the top line or render that part separately ..
