strange image size needed

I am creating a Windows Media piece that is 180 x 134.

I started the project with those setting in the properties.

When rendering the project (15 second piece), I chose keep project settings.

I received an error message, "An error occured while creating the media file gateway.wmv. The video frame size is not supported."

If I chose custom and type in the size, the rendered piece, though rendered at the correct dimensions, does not show the media layed out properly.

I am sure that in previous versions of Vegas, I rendered/created pieces at irregular formats.. did anything change in v.5 that might be effecting things?

Lots of media formats require the sizes to be multiples of 8. Try 184x136. It's almost exactly the same proportion and only a hair larger.

i think the resolution has to be divisible by 8 for wmv

For WMV the rendered frame size needs to be a multiple of 4.
