Strange Noise

Everytime I try to render a track from this particular file, it makes this weird noise every 4 seconds during playback. I've tried it at 256kpbs, w/44,100 & 48,000 sample rates and 16 & 24 bit depths. Why is it doing this? Maybe it's because the file is originally a VBR, I'm only guessing. It's also a pretty long file at over an hour and 12 minutes. I'm trying to split it up into tracks with no luck at rendering it back into good MP3 form.

What kind of strange noise? Is it a very short high-pitched beep (at random frequencies) that completely replaces the normal sound when it happens?

Yes except it didn't replace the sound, it just added itself in between. But, for some reason it stopped doing it. I simply closed out of Vegas and did it again except I kept the sample rate and bit depth at default (44100 & 16). Changing these effects seem to be ruining my MP3's. Any thing wrong with changing the sample rate & bit depth that you know of?

Hmmm. I'm not sure.

The sound i was describing is the sound you get when you render using an unregistered copy of Vegas (or render to MP3/MPEG using an unregistered MPEG encoder). I was just wondering if you had registered Vegas yet.

yes it's registered and working fine now.
