I'm also posting this in the ACID forum as I think it is inter-related.
Create a region for loop playback. Set project up as 5.1
Play loop. Meters in surround mixer update as they should UNTIL it loops. Then they no longer update if I have run ACID 5 on the machine.
Once the problem occurs, I can scrub the region with the thumb scrubber and the meters return to functioning and will loop and function in V6.
This occurs in both V5 and V6 and ACID 5. Did not occur before the install of V6/ACID. Did reinstall V6, as ACID was installed after.
In ACID you I cannot figure how to get the meters to restore.
If I switch the project to STEREO in ACID the meters behave fine. Switch it back to 5.1 and meters fail.
Does not happen in ACID 4. Everything works as it should even when other version open at same time fail.
Using a Creative Audigy. Tried all drivers via the preferences, MS Mapper, Direct, ASIO etc - all behave the same.
Edit: In ACID 5 meter can be restored by using the channel mapping tool (I think thats the name) in the surround mixer window to reassign Front L/R to someplace else and back to where it belongs. Then meters behave fine.
