I stumbled across this while working at home and last night and thought it might be my computer so I tried it at work today and had the same problem.
As I do with most of my text (standard Generated Media, not Pro Titler), I modified a slide so its frame size would be 1440 x 960 instead of the default 720 x 480.
You can see what happened in the images below.
The first one is a Pro 8.0c screen grab and the second one is from Pro 9.0e
It's as if it's being converted to widescreen on me.
BTW, this works as expected in Pro 8.
I'll be sending a trouble report to Sony if anyone can repro this.
Here's the steps I took.
Drag a new Default Text to the timeline.
Open it up, change the font size to 16 and paste in the following text.
Links, Images, and Videos:
Important: Whether or not images and videos are
embedded into the forum pages is a choice left
to each individual forum member. By default,
the forum will simply display a link to these items.
If you would like to see the images and video
embedded in the forum pages, go to your Forum
Settings in the "My Account" area, and check
the box for "Show images and videos
in forum messages."
Now change the frame size from 720 x 480 to 1440 x 960 and let me know if you get the same thing I did.
Try changing the 480 number first for even stranger happenings.
