Stretched BMP files

I imported some BMP files (720x480) and they look stretched when I print to DV tape. Whant do I need to do so that they look correct? I tried it with resample ON too with the same results.

Hi JB,

SoFo recommends still dimensions of 655x480 (dv pixels are rectangular).

Just change the original bitmap, and Vegas will pick the new one up.

I found the problem. You have to un-check the maintain aspect ratio. That way it will maintain the correct size 720x480.

Another (technically more correctly) solution would be to bring up the media properties for the 720x480 still and change the pixel aspect ratio to 0.9091 (DV/D1). You solution works in this specific case, though, but pixel aspect is a more general solution.
