At the end of the clip, on the timeline, is a green box. Click it to edit your titles. Near the top there is a Length box. Type in a longer length, and then you can CTRL + Drag to speed it up or slow it down on the timeline.

Thanks for the reply. I clicked on the green film box, and changed the time from 10 seconds to 00:45:10.0 as a test. It would still only allow me to stretch it to 30 seconds. Any other ideas???

This is tricky! I haven't nailed it down a solution yet, but it seems that the limiting factor to the length (using ctrl-drag) is the "Playback rate" property in the properties of the titles media. It does not want to go below 0.25.

The "length" field in the media generator settings doesn't seem to be useful as far as I can see. You can set it to 45 sec and save a preset but when you insert it, it reverts to 10sec.

What seems to work somewhat is to enter all your titles, which allows SVMS to calculate the natural length of your titles, then stretch (just drag, not ctrl-drag), and turn off the "Loop" checkbox setting for the titles.

Now the titles may still end before the 45, and we know we're limited by the playback rate, so best thing would be to increase the space above & space below in the styles for each of the credit roll entries (header, single- and dual-item).

Does this help?

I thought there was a 4x or 1/4x [400%, 25%] limit on timestretching in this method (?)- which would explain the restriction you see.

The length parameter does change the length of the clip. If you enter 3:00;00 then the credit roll will take 3 minutes instead of 10 seconds. What doesn't change is the size of the event on the timeline. You'll still have to drag (not Ctrl-drag) the event out manually on the timeline to match the length you've specified. By changing the length parameter you can get a credit roll any duration you want without being limited by the 4x/0.25x limit of Ctrl-dragging.

Correct. I forgot to mention that you have to Drag - not CTRL Drag - out your clip to the new Length that you typed in the Length box. Then sometimes I'll tweak it by CTRL Drag, but then you have to Drag it out to it's loop point. Or you can go back again and change the Length.

You'll get the hang of it.

Thanks to everyone that responded. The key was increasing the time in the lenth field and turning off the loop option! This has been driving me nuts for the longest time! Thanks again for all the help!

The loop option shouldn't make any difference in this case. In order for the credit roll to work properly the event on the timeline has to match the length specified in the credit roll window. If they match then there is no looping. If they don't match then it won't work right whether looping is on or off.
