stretching multiple events evenly

Does anyone know if there is a way to stretch multiple events such as pictures along the timeline with a script or something. I do a lot of picture montage projects and I have to manually stretch these pictures so they show longer between each picture and dissolve. Thanks in advance. Oh and I do have excalibur but I don't think it can do this. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You can select alll the pictures and group them. Then Ctrl-stretching the end of the last picture will stretch (or squish) them proportionally. This will also change all the transition lengths proportionally too.

I just tried it with a bunch of video clips and it worked fine. Make sure you group select them all, then group them, then Ctrl-drag.

you must be saying that six grouped clips of different lengths will keep there relaive proportion- but not that they will all snap to a specific size a suddenly become all the same length

Maxter: that is correct.

a little late but. Does this work on VV 3? When I right click on video event on the timeline then select group the selections are faded. Is there something else I have to do to select all the video events? This could save me some time also If I figure it out.

Yes, this works fine in V3 as well. Maybe right clicking on the first video event and then choosing "select events to end" would help.
