Stretching still photos

OK, here I am again with a silly problem. I want to produce a video with only still pictures and music in Vegas. When the pictures appear in the preview window they all have black bands on both sides. I click on the event/pan crop icon on each photo and then stretch it to fill the frame. That's fine. But I would like to do the whole set all at once. Could someone give me step by step instructions as to how I accomplish this. I have to do this with about a hundred photos and it would be really exhausting to do this. My camera is fixed at widescreen and they do show up like that on the camera and on the computer screen but not on Vegas.

Thanks in anticipation.

If you really want to stretch, not crop your photos, select them all, then right click on one of them and choose "Switches," then uncheck "Maintain Aspect Ratio."

If you want to apply the same cropping/position to all events, the easiest way is to use Track Motion.
Or, you can apply Event Pan/Crop to one event, copy the event, select all, then Paste Event Attributes.

That's the short list.

Hi Musicvid,
It worked!!!! It was so easy what you suggested. Thanks for saving me so much time. I'm sure you will be hearing from me again. Next time I will not hesitate to ask for answers. I always think my questions are so silly so I spend a lot of time trying to figure them out myself. It's good that we have this forum and I'll use it more often.

Thanks a lot.
