After I rendered/printed my project to MiniDV tape (80 minutes long) I discovered at 2 or 3 different points on the tape the video showed thick horizontal stripes combining the two adjacent shots.
Anyone know why this is happening?
*usually* horizontal stripes indicate dirty heads. More like fat bands than thin stripes? I'd try again, after cleaning tape heads.
Only other symptom I've seen is related to non-ohci issues, or issues with Promise controllers creating diagonal blockiness, but that issue hasn't come up in a long while.
See a nearby thread started by farrs about printing problems. Just anticipating that you may have already cleaned your heads but are still getting problems, see comments by johnmeyer and myself about recording a few seconds (not printing, but in record mode) that sometimes clears problems up with Sony cameras (and other models, I dunno).
