Stuck at Splash Screen!

I cannot get Vegas 6 to open. I have ran both Vegas 4, and Vegas 5 without a hitch. DVD A 3 opens fine- I looked at the "wowexec.exe" thread but that does not pop up in my task manager. Any suggestions? I am running an Athon 3200+ 64 bit processor 2 gigs of memory, 3 ata 133 180 gig hard drives, Windows XP pro. I also tried to open vegas 5 but it also would get stuck at the splash screen. This only happened after the Vegas 6 install.

I found that a program I had running did not go well with the new startup feature of Sony Vegas Media center or whatever it is called. I closed out all the running processes of Konfabulator and it came up fine.
