Anyone else run into this problem? Once I've got more than about 10 tracks of audio going at the same time, the playback gets choppy. I'm assuming I need more RAM? Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Not with a 1GHz and 256...you've got lots to do a LOT of work.
What's your hard drive like? Is it old? Are you using one drive for your apps + data or do you put your music on a separate drive from your apps? This shouldn't matter as much in your situation but get rid of screensavers, desktop themes and patterns, event sounds, and extra memory-resident programs that insert themselves into your system tray. A clean machine is a smoothly-running machine.
