Stumped on memory issue

I'm new to using Architect and still on a learning curve. I just added a 500mb HD to resolve memory issues when rendering. I've set up new folders for temp and prep files in the mostly empty new HD. However, now when I try to prepare and burn, I get the message, "the estimated size of the project is larger than the default space available on media." Any ideas out there about how to resolve?

The "media" is your dvd or bluray disc size in the DVDA properties.
It's telling you your video is too big to fit and either you or DVDA must render to fit accordingly.

The message has absolutely nothing to do with your hard disk capacity.

Thanks for that rapid reply. I'm using a new 8.5gb Dual layer disk, Optical Quantum brand. Is there a setting in Architect to select DVD disk sizes? Or does Architect recognize disk size automatically?
thanks again

Once again, you need to set all of your project parameters correctly in DVDA Project Properties before proceeding.

DVDA will Prepare your disc to a folder on your hard drive using the settings you have chosen, and then Burn the disc from that folder.

File->Properties

-- or --

The Properties icon on the toolbar.

This is covered in the Help and Tutorials that come with the program.
