Stupid Navigation question (maybe:-)

ok, I'm faily computer literate . .
Is there any way on this forum to get back to the Page of topics you were on without havingto keep hitting the BACK button ???

Once you're aboiut 6 or 7 posts down in a topic (posts = people who havre responded). it seems you have to either keep hitting your browsers "BACK" button . .or click "Back top Vegas Family" .but that will take you back to the Most recent post. And sometimes I'm looking at a post from a few months ago.

Am I crazy, blind, or just having a bad day ??? :-)

Here's a thought . .
on the CUBASE Forum you can see all of the responses on one page
(without having to click the back button or chose a particular reply). That would make it a LOT easier . .if we could go to a topic and just scroll to see the responses.

There is a VERY simple way to do this directly from your browser no
matter what forum you're in.

In Netscape:
click on Go from the menu at the top of the browser window
the last 15 pages you've viewed will be listed, most recent first
click on the page title you want to go back to

In MSIE:
click on the little triangle that points down next to the Back button
the last 9 pages you've viewed will be listed, most recent first
click on the page title you want to go back to
if you need to go back more than 9, click on the bottom item, then
click the triangle again to see the previous nine ... etc.

Well of course. I'm fully aware of that. But that still means navagating back and forth. What I'm talking about is VERY simple and all you have to do is scroll instead of waiting for a new page to load. You would also be able to reference more than one reply to a particular post becasue it's ALL right there in front of you. It's just a matter of appending the file/page when a change (a new reply) has been made

Yes, I agree, I've been to the Nuendo and Pro Tools forums and they are set up identical. It is nice to see all the responses on one page, so you don't have to click on each response and wait for a page to load. It's just like a forwarded email response, it adds the next persons response after the body of the letter. Maybe it's Sonic Foundry's way of not being like everyone else?

Not to keep stealing ideas from Cubase :-), but another nice feature they have is you can get an email notification when someone has responded to your post. Kind of saves you from checking back all the time. ;-)
