Sub-frame audio positioning

I'm trying to precisely align two audio tracks and it seems like there is a

snap-to-frame requirement. Is there a way to precisely start an event in between

frames? One would think this would be possible given Vegas's audio past.

Turn off Quantize to Frames under the Options menu. That should allow you to position the audio outside of the frame boundaries.
