Subclips exported?

Can I export subclips as actual files without rendering them? In essence, when I size up a region within a clip and "subclip" it, can I just save it as a new file so that I can import it into my various special effects programs?

No, sublclips are only pointers to a segment of the media file.

Also note that if you use the project trimmer and create new copies of the media the subclips will not export properly. It's makes archiving a limited proposition.
