Submenu problems on playback

Using Architect Studio 2.0, I burn a Fuji media DVD. DVD consists of a main menu with a slideshow menu and submenus of video clips

On an older Sony DVD player - the DVD isn't recognized.

On a new PS2 which we use on a regular basis for playback, slideshow works off the main menu, but freezes when I go to the submenu.

Get into the minvan and the DVD works fine!! Any ideas on why?? Thanks!!

These sound like the typical player compatability problems that exist. You didn't say whether you burned -R or +R. A lot of older players simply refuse to "see" +R media; if it's old enough it might not even recognize -R.

There's been reports of issues with Xbox on this forum, possible a few reports on issues with PS2.

Thanks. I burned it on -R media and with the exception of the PS2, it works on all DVD players purchased within the last year and I have now tested successfully on four DVD players. Perhaps it's because Sony doesn't like the -R (they were the forerunners of the +R standard, weren't they?).
