I recently received a survey last week from Magix mentioning subscriptions quite a lot. With the introduction of Vegas Stream and Vegas Hub being available for only 365 subscribers it seems they are thinking about following Adobe's path and take a subscribers only approach.

As someone whose purchased Vegas Pro 8, Pro 11, 16 Edit, 17 Post and 18 Post Suite I am all about buying the software upfront and owning it, rather than leasing it. The obvious downside to this is that every year I am shelling out $500 to upgrade to the newest version, if I deem it to be a worthwhile update.

I'm very curious to hear what the community members think of going only-subscription base in the future - and, if you happen to already be a 365 subscriber.
