Subtitle Batch Edits within DVDA?

I've imported the script of a 2-hour play into DVDA3 and have gone through the painstaking processing of aligning 2 hours of dialogue with the corresponding subtitle event. The text of the subtitles included the character's name in front of each line of the script delimited by a colon, as in:

NIGEL: You can't be serious!

FELICITY: As serious as I've ever been...

I was told to keep them in at the beginning, but after seeing a preliminary DVD, I've been told to remove all of the character names and just use the dialogue.

Is there a way to export the subtitle events in some editable format such as XML, perform a simple regular expression search and replace, and then import the corrected text intact without altering the original position of each subtitle?

Above the timeline is a row of icons. The one with the blue arrow pointing up is for exporting subtitles; the one with the brown arrow pointing down is for importing subtitles.

Thanks guys. This worked like a dream. I actually loaded it into Excel to do my search and replace operations - it was much easier to work visually with the subtitle text and times. There were 1,313 subtitle events in the project and the prospect of going in and editing every one of them would have had me looking to jump either off a bridge or in front of a Mac truck.
