I edited a movie in Vegas 22 and used "AI Speech to Text" in Insert, and clicked "Generate Titles" to create a "Subtitles from Speech" video line on my timeline. I went through the subtitles and fixed punctuation and wording. But now I cannot export them using "Export Closed Captions" to Youtube in Tools.
If the Vegas-created subtitles aren't closed captions, how do I convert them? How do I make them an .srt file?
I understand that I can buy Vegasaur for $99, but I only need conversion for this one project.
What am I missing? Is Vegas 22 or 23 incapable of creating its own subtitles that can be exported as .srt files?
Especially when I can export an .srt file from the "AI Speech to Text" box.
