SUCCESS: Synch Cursor OFF!

Grazie wrote on 12/30/2004, 6:28 AM
OK . . think I've found an invertebrate . ..

1/- Synch Cursor in P/C remaining ON RAM Render Building falters on 2 frames

2/- Synch Cursor in P/C remaining OFF RAM Render Building is successful.

Here's the thing . . .

3/- Synch Cursor in FXs remaining ON or OFF RAM Render Building is successful

Now THAT'S the logic bomb I've had to deal with! - It works with FXs but not P/C . .I have to click the Synch Cursor OFF for RAM Render Preview to work.

Ok that's for me . .. Others wanna try, before I send to Dr. Dropout?

Grazie

What is "P/C?"

P/C = Pan/Crop

I've confirmed the same thing happens with NTSC settings as well. Sync ON, Pan/Crop open - only renders a couple of frames and then quits.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Start a new project
2) Add a short clip to the timeline
3) Open Pan/Crop, make sure Sync Cursor is ON, add a second keyframe toward the end, and add some movement at that second keyframe.
4) Without closing the Pan/Crop screen, double-click the event and choose to Ram Render.

Doing this I also only got the 2 frame rendering.

We ARE THE CHAMPIONS! We ARE THE CHAMPIONS! We ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

See Spot, I wasn't going crazy . . albeit there was a logic bomb in the machine. Edward has seen it too! AND can replicate it . .. HAHAHAH! ! V¬!

. .Somebody Stop ME!

It also doesn't work if you have Track Motion open, or generated media, if I remember correctly. I apparently didn't understand to what you were referring at some point. Was it a challenge I didn't meet somewheres? Sorry, but not sure why you referred to me...

Oh - I asked you if I was Bonkers in what I was relating . . and quite rightly, you said yes
I was bonkers. . . . well . . .

And yes, I'm glad I persisted with my quest for discovering what was going on . . Well, I still don't KNOW what is going on BUT I can remove it from my "Grazie is Wrong" list.

I need RAM Preview to work - as we all do - I've a project at the moment where I'm experimenting with P/C stuff. I get better definition Vegas allows me to do FX experiments and view in RAM preview - not having this IN P/C is a tad frustrating. Plus it does work in V4. Something has gone from V4 to V5. - What is truly TRULY WEIRD is that if I then make a copy of the RAM failing build, paste that further down the t/l, I can then RAM preview that!?!?! Go figure?

Oh, I got no problem with Track Motion BUT Generated Media wont work - I have to unclick Synch Cursor.

Oh yeah Spot . .I'm still Bonkers . . ;)

Best regards,

Grazie
