*Suggestion* Project planning with Vegas tools.

There are a lot of TODO programs out there, but not many with video production in mind. If you have a lot of projects, it becomes unwieldy to manage. Perhaps Vegas may consider TODO lists, Gantt charts, and other things relevant to video production for current subscribers and the 365 users. I have tried various TODO lists, most are costly and time consuming and complex in the wrong way. Specialized ones unique to the field could be a way to go and maybe Vegas has the ability to deliver this. I like that Vegas has some on-line storage, having this also linked to project management across devices would boost the value and make it indispensable.

Hi,

The "Project Notes" feature could possibly help in this regard. Create project notes and even notes specific to where you may be currently on the timeline and when these edits are completed you can click the resolved (completed button) to continually chip away at the project notes and todo list

Kind Regards,

Blaque

@Blaque Yes, thanks, I am aware of the Project Notes feature, which not even DaVinci Resolve has. Project Notes is a good idea and could be elaborated on with calendars, GANTT charts and so on. It occurred to me that if you have multiple tools from Magix, be it a DAW, Vegas Post, audio editor like Sound Forge and so on, a planning / TODO product that threads through them may be useful. If you are video editing, chances are you may want audio tweakage. If you are a sound designer, musician, again...a well made TODO list specific to multimedia types would work. Magix also has storage, which is perfect for multimedia. If not build one, maybe Magix can pair with a pre-existing company and do something unique to multimedia production...

@Former user Also, with the ability to have time stamps automatically applied to the note at time of its creation has helped us in particular. The ability to organize notes/task by color for example in regards to edit/task priority green, orange, red etc. also helps.

If an audio clip needs to be sent to Sound Forge we check our notes, go to that particular place on the timeline, select the section of audio saved on the notes "Timecode To Timeline Cursor" and send it over. This process in particular of getting to your edits quickly and sending it out for sweetening in other MAGIX programs VEGAS Effects, VEGAS Image, Sound Forge Suite etc. can be done for all multimedia types on the timeline utilizing the notes feature as you know already.

And last but surely not least, being able to create a detailed and concise label/title for each, the ability to add detailed descriptions, plans of action and due dates into the "Enter Note" areas also have really  proved indispensable for our particular editing needs for the time being.

I'm sure you know all of this already, I'm just talking this feature up because it really does appear to be a hidden gem (for us) that's rarely talked about here.

Organization and cleanliness are next to godliness they say.😊

Kind Regards,

Blaque
