Suggestions on doing a powerpoint type project and burning to dvd?

To do a powerpoint style presentation with photos, music, and text I am thinking of using Multimedia builder.I use it for autorun cdroms.
It is a good program.
I am wondering how this could work since I need seperate pages for the client to scroll through (next buttons) and dvd is more for doing chapters.
Would doing this on cdrom be a better suggestion to the client? To be honest
This will be my first break in to this field so i am really wanting to do this right.
I appreciate all your help in the past so again I turn to the council for guidance and suggested routines for this job.
My dvd burner is the pioneer a03 which is a work horse.

>>> powerpoint style presentation with photos, music, and text

so you want to have a music track playing constantly, and leave it to the user to advance the slides at their leisure? where does the text come into play?

it sounds like a project that would fit on a CD-ROM pretty easily, so unless I'm missing something, or unless you are creating a HUGE slideshow with thousands of slides and hours of music, I don't see the point of using a DVD. I would try to stick with CD-ROM if possible so you can play the project on more PC's.

if you post more specifics I can probably at least point you in the right direction.
