"Summary" and "Region" views ... What for?

I noticed we can turn on or off these two ways of looking at the explorer. But what's the main uses of "summary" and "region" views in the explorer section (lower left) ?

Hi futz,

The summary view provides stats at the bottom of the pane for explorer items. Easy access.

The region view shows regions (marked in the trimmer) for the selected clip. They are used like sub-clips.

But I've created a region, just to see, and if I open the "region" window, I get the message in this window:"no regions to display". How come? I selected the region and still get that message...

Hi futz,

You might need to mark the region with the R key and hit the little floppy icon to save the region with the media.

Then you select the clip in explorer, and then region view.
