Support for ATI Stream Technology

Wondering if there are plans to support ATI streaming technology -
It would be cool just for previewing HD video and would solve quite a few issues.

Direct Compute 11,
OpenCL
Accelerate Video Transcoding (AVT Support)

Please let me know if you can support these technologies, my system is seriously lagging when editing in HD.....

This has been discussed extensively over a long period of time here on the forum although most of the discussion has been around nVidia's CUDA technology. Sony has not announced any plans to support GPU acceleration.

You should keep in mind that "You" on this forum is other users, not Sony. As users, we're probably all supportive of GPU acceleration.

If you want to address this to SCS, though, you need to go up to the Support link at the top of the page and choose Product Suggestion from that list. They do read those suggestions but yours is one that's been made in various forms for the last 10 years and more. My guess is that if GPU Coprocessing becomes a built-in part of Windows then Vegas might eventually use it. Like it uses DirectX. No, maybe better than that.
