Sonic Foundry is guarding any news about the release of
Vegas Video 3 in the same way you'd guard the Ten
Commandments if they were hidden in your basement.

This issue has been extensively covered in previous
threads. Of course, if you could convince the card
manufacturer to write an MME driver, then we wouldn't have
to write the workaround...(wishful thinking I guess).

We plan to provide a wdm fix with Vegas3, but for many
reasons we cannot promise a ship date at this time.

I hate to be on your side after all the recent goofiness at
sonic foundry, but hey when youre right your right!

Am I right in all my ranting about the MME drivers? I mean
thats what all my WORKING cards have been running on all
this time right?

Im still waiting for a fix on the routing issues, the fact
that I HAVE TO pan to get discrete mono outs in vegas, so
Im not able to send those tracks to DX FX....

I have asked over and over for at least you guys to make a
mono to stereo dx plug, which would be a good handy
temporary fix...any hope of ever seeing that?

Can you accomplish this by opening in Sound Forge and
saving as take back into Vegas?

not as such, and it would be a LENGTHY run around if it
worked!

the scenario is this ( and its not so card specigic as it
happens in any card):

lets say I have a mix up in vegas, but I like mixing some
of the stuff together on my analog console( I guess it
would be the same on a digital console)

I have two soundscape Mixtreme PCI's for 32 channels I/O

the soundscape outputs show up as stereo pairs in vegas( or
any other app for that matter AFAIK)

In order to send lets say the kick to channel 1 on my
console and channel 1 out of mixtreme pair 1&2 I MUST pan
track 1 hard left.

If I want to use any dx fx then when I send from that track
1, the send ONLY goes to the left side! no good...
