I see references all over the site for using "supported Blu-ray burners", but I can't seem to find a list of them...
any one have a link of supported burners? (for burning to Blu-ray media from Vegas).
Much appreciated!
I do understand your question, but I don't think any particular Blu-Ray burner is more compatable with DVDA than another since they are all standards based.
Blu-Ray discs are burned as an ISO image to the Blu-Ray disc. So all that is happening is a standard image burn. Actually, burning the image with 3rd party software results in a better quality and less error prone burn. DVDA is good for authoring, but okay to poor for burning.
be aware some burners will crash DVD-A with an unrecoverable BSOD the moment u select "Prepare for burning".
doesn't matter if you are burning or just preparing the disc (ie: doing the transcode prior to burn)... it crashes spectacularly and without exception... i've tried different OS's (XP, Vista, 7), different computers (various HP's, personal home-brew, work)... it makes no difference. DVD-A does not like some burners.
amusingly, my current burner is also an LG (GBW-H20L)... and i had this happen with 1 dvd burners as well, can't remember make/model tho.
my solution was to use a different computer for the burn... this worked out fine since i have the xtra computer and prefer to use diff software for burning anyway.

I have this burner and use it regularly with DVDa with no issues what so ever. I would suggest maybe you have a driver conflict of some kind.
