SVCD/DVD Audio Reverb Problems

seanybear wrote on 6/11/2002, 8:42 AM
Whenever I render to either the SVCD or DVD VV3A/B template, the audio sounds as if I am sitting in an echo chamber. I had previous problems with picture pixelation, but increasing the bitrate seemed to help in that matter. But, I cannot seem to get a quality MPEG 2 solution with the correct audio output. If I render to either AVI, VCD or XVCD, the audio is fine. Any suggestions?

Specifics:

Source is captured 720x480 DV or 640x480 still pictures (Sony DCR-PC9)
Various texts, GIF/JPEG files
MP3 audio @128kb/s – 48Khz

Thanks

Try converting your MP3 audio file into an uncompressed WAV file first, then use the WAV version in your project. It's been occasionally reported that using MP3 as source files can cause weird effects when rendering.

Wanted to let SF know that the latest 3.0C update fixed my audio problems. Now, rendering projects to MPEG 1/2 with MP3 music source files works well.

Thanks for the good work!
