SVCD flickering in dvd player first 1/2 of video

Hi,

I have put a number of jpgs into a video presentation and rendered as MPEG2 and burned to CD via Nero 5.0. I keep getting the first have of the photo clips flickering as they come on screen... I am zooming in on the pictures and desolving to the next.. then zooming out and desolving etc. I have tried all kinds of rendering paramiters but still get the flickering on the first half of the video. Is there something I am not doing correct? Also when I try to render MPEG2 Default I get an error message saying the reason for this error could not be determinded... Need help... have to have this project out in September... :-(

Thanks,

David

Are you using the motion blur setting (advanced project properties)? If so, try turing it off. I've seen some cases where it can cause flickering.

Hi SD,

Thanks for the responce.... I checked the motion blur and it was set to none. Any other ideas?

I also tried removing the zoom in and out on the begining pictures and rendered but still have flickering during playback :-(

I'd really have to see the flickering to conjecture more. Email your project (.veg file only) to drdropout@sonicfoundry.com and have him forward it to me. Please reference this thread so we'll know what it's for. Also, tell me what format you're rendering to (MPEG-2, SVCD template?). We'll see if we can duplicate it. If not, we might need an excerpt from your render.
