SVCD opening....Problem

Anyone know why VF cant open the mpeg2 pulled off a finished SVCD disc? I can open up SVCD's I made in VF, and rendered in VF, yet if I try to open the mpeg2 file I extracted from an SVCD created by somebody else it WONT open. I view the properties, and the file looks like it is built the same as mine. DOes something change in the mpeg2 once it is burned on teh SVCD that does not allow it to be edited or opened again in VF? the_ripper

You have to re-encode the MPEG2 stream into something the PC can read without thinking it's an SVCD file. You can do it using TMPGenc - I found the solution on vcdhelp.com. I am not on my home computer so I can't give you the exact options needed. You probably can't import an MPEG file from and SVCD or VCD directly into Video Factory. On my PC in Windows 2000 it causes a GPF in Explorer if I try to do anything with such a file other than play it with WinDVD or another DVD player program.
