SVCT

Tonight is the first time I noticed the SVCT next to some poster's names (DSE for one). I clicked on the symbol and got a new page with the information about what it means.

Did this just start? I haven't noticed it before.

Could it have another background color on the page besides black? Currently it looks kind of stark, serious, and negative to me. Mebby a light blue or yellowish or sumthin' else?

Agree re the black background.

Looks a bit like a "CONVICT" type marking on a prison uniform.

The way it will work is ,if you have
SCVT : you better have the correct answer
SCVE:you should have the correct answer
SCVU: you possibly have a correct answer
NO Label : just a wild guess

I'm joking people.

That's like:

Current price list:
$100 - correct answer
$50 - point you in the right direction
$20 - give you several options to try

Dumb stares still free!

On behalf of the Sony Certified Vegas Trainers, I reserve the right for each of us to have the occasional brainlock. :-)

Small comment, SCVU's should generally have the correct answer. It's definitely not a simple task to pass the certification examination.

hmmm...
wonder if theyre going to bother giving the rest of the world an opportunity to be "certified"

I'm pretty sure the test/training is open to everybody who is willing to pay for it.

My business has benefited from every response I recieved from this forum not religious or political. I a bit wary of certifications for those areas.
Spot|DSE wrote on 8/7/2006, 7:34 AM
of course anyone that wishes to become certified can do so. It's a two-day training course, with a practical examination afterwards, and a finished project must be completed that uses a pre-determined set of actions.
Ironically, the certification training program started just this morning in Chicago.

Nobody told me how long the tag thingy has been active in the forum, though. Did it just start? I don't check every day.

What, the Certification program or what? I see people have explained this in enough detail. I too often find that I need to spell things out for people. Know what I mean? LOL!!!

ANSWER: I guess the "tag" has only been apparent/seen for about, oooh, 1 week? In fact about the time you strolled back into town and visited this 'ere Bar.

Good to see you back!

it still doesnt answer the question of the needs of the rest of the world... i aint flying to the US for this... and the guys who I was told were doing this here in aus, i personally dont feel are up to par for this kind of thing... thats if theyre still doing it which i doubt considering there isnt a mention of them on this site..
winrockpost wrote on 8/9/2006, 12:26 PM
i know one of the trainers covers the globe pretty well, only a few dates mentioned and this thing just started . I'm sure if it takes off trainers will be leavin on a jet plane.
Spot|DSE wrote on 8/9/2006, 8:00 PM
Yup. One of the trainers is currently in Kuala Lumpur, heading for Singapore next. Then comes Sweden, and Europe. ;-)
This is a long-term program, and of course Sony would like to have more trainers. Currently there are only six, but that's expected to grow rapidly.

Ah yes,
I've done that kind of gig, train the trainers

Actually I'm kind of jealous KL or Singapore would be nice after the brass monkey weather down here. So cold I should be wearing gloves but then how to type, maybe somebody makes a heated keyboard.
