SVP11: MainConcept MP4 Render with GPU looks awful

Hi there,

Just got a new PC, jumped from Vegas 8.0c on Windows XP to 11 (latest 64bit) version along with my new AMD 6870 graphics board.

Rendered a test with Mainconcept and GPU enabled and although it was very fast and pegged the GPU at 91% the results were terrible! On a persons face in daylight there was blockiness and colour blotching. That was with Best settings, trying 8bit and 32bit plus using the deblock filter on and off - all at two pass rendering 8,00,000 bitrate. Tried it same settings, CPU only - perfect - though slooooooooowwwwwwwww.

Switched over to the Sony AVC/MP4 renderer, which is one pass, same 8,000,000 bitrate - BANG - looks awesome.

Any ideas on this, is it known ?

Thanks folks,

Rik

Must be some MC codec/OCL conflict thing; my CUDA encoding looks gorgeous.

I have experienced exactly the same issues normally always worse is transitions and been unable to resolve.
Just have to turn off GPU for MP4 renders then its ok.
