On the keyframe timeline, there is a button to sync the cursor of the main project timeline to the keyframe timeline. My "sync cursor" button is grayed out.

I found a reference to the "sync cursor" button in the Movie Studio help, so I know it is available. Why would mine be grayed out ? Is it only available under certain circumstances ?
