sync cursor with text? v 8.0 and 8.1

Hi-
in neither my text (simple) generated media, or my protype titler (which i don't think you can anyway) i can't sync my cursor for keyframing, it is greyed out.

this is the case with my version 8.0 and 8.1. anyone know if it is a box that isn't checked?

Despite repeated requests, sync cursor still doesn't work with generated media :-(

There is a simple workaround to sync cursor of generated media:
-open the generated media in trimmer
-copy/paste timecode from trimmer to generated media timeline.

Not in any version I've used (and I've been with it since Vegas 1.0 :-(
