I made a documentary. for my purposes only, the project has 81 tracks to aid my editing etc.
Now i add the narration. I recorded it in one shot, 22 minutes long. I added it to the project, chopped it up sentence by sentence and added it in to where each specific sentence belonged. Sounded ok, played ok and i render it to ac3 and the narration, which I put in track 82, goes near 1 minute or more out of sync.
The individual music tracks stayed where they belong, the sound effects stayed put, but the points where the narration came in to be heard went way off. So I was confused that just the narration I did last, all in the last track was off and nothing else.
Oddly I took the data from the EDL on that track, cut-n-paste to a spreadsheet, edited the narration from Word, and exported it to my authoring program for subtitles, and using the times in-out that the EDL said the narration WAS, the subtitles are dead on cue where they go.
Any ideas?
The narration was recorded in vegas, independant of the project loaded in or in memory, ie, in a fresh virgin project. It was saved as a 230meg .wav file, chopped up into 146 sentences, edited into place, and rendered out to ac3.
Help???
