Sync - Sub Frame audio edit

I am trying some tests to sync Video and Audo where the audio is not captured with the video on the camera.

I tested a 30 minute piece. Used a clap at the start to line up the camera audio with the external captured audio. I"m off about a 1/2 frame. Stayed consistent for the 25 minute capture.

Googled this and found the term "sub frame" edit.

Question. In Vegas is there a way to cut a 1/2 frame off the audio track?
If not Vegas, what programs are you guru's using to do "sub frame" correction ?

Thank

Turn off the "Quantize to Frame" feature, sync your audio (now adjustable at the sample level instead of frame level) to your video and then turn it back on again.

Thanks. I had just found the alt f8 quantize to frame.

So I tried that, but now I want to turn off the video audio and output a new file w/ the external audio and video. When I go to turn off my audio 1 channel (tape audio), it turns off all 3 channels (video, video audio, external audio.) I'll go try that again.

Thanks

Problem solved. Was using track 1,2,& 3. 2&3 were being connected to track 1 video. Dropped the external audio into track 4, and I was then able to mute track 2 (video tape audio) and just have the external audio volume playback.

Thanks for the help.

Now on to figuring out how to keep long pieced in sync.
