"He who must not be named" had a problem with generated media and the "sync to cursor" button. After looking closer here's what I see...
The initial generated media window is just like a "Media FX" window. All of this adjustment is being done at the media level where Vegas never allows you to sync to cursor. Why? Because you're applying the effect to the media -not to a timeline event. So you can't sync to the timeline cursor.
Now, Vegas could open the media in the trimmer and sync to the trimmer's cursor. One major advantage to this is that some people won't be so confused. And it's another use for the trimmer. At least one other NLE does it this way.
