Sync to cursor with generated media

Vegas 8:

I put a Sony Solid Color generated media on the time line. It has the Sync to Cursor icon shown in the generated media dialog, but it is grayed out. Is there a way to enable it?

Sorry but no.
This is a feature that's been asked for for a very long time but, as you can see, we're still waiting for it :-(

There is a simple workaround for that :

Place your cursor on TimeLine at the desired position.
Open your event in trimmer.
Press Ctrl+G and Ctrl+C to copy cursor TimeCode.
Open generated media window.
Double click cursor position (at the botton right)
Press Ctrl+V to paste the new position and make your changes.

I allow the piece to LOOP, and then adjust elements for synching in "realtime". If yah can't beat 'em .. join 'em! - No syncing with any GenMed, including Gen. Text and the now new ProType Titler. Pity really.
