sync with MTC help

I downloaded the Sony virtual midi router to see how well it could be used to sync Vegas with Acid pro. After fussing with it I did get it to work, but the sync was no where near accurate enough to be useable. I've read where a few here have had some luck with syncing MTC. If so how? Are you using hardware or just using a virtual router? Both apps on the same machine? Are there any settings i should know about to reduce the latency? or any way to compensate?
I'm using Vegas 4.0h and Acid Pro 5 with a MOTU 828 MKII.

James - for what it's worth, I've intermitantly tried syncing Vegas with Sonar using MTC via the Midi Yoke virtual midi router (pretty much the same as the Sony one). Like you I've had very limited success - the drift is horrendeous. Once in a blue moon you'll hit play and things will be fine, but generally it's a waste of time.

I too would be interested in hearing from the people who say they've had success with this.

I've totally had success with this, though it didn't fill the need for Rewire - which is what I was looking for. However, Vegas synced with Reason just fine. Which make sme think maybe the problem lies with ACID, not Vegas or the MIDI router. I used MIDI Yoke btw.

Well, as I said, I had the same problem as James but with Sonar, so I don't think that's it...
