I am trying to synch the audio with the video on two separate clips that I have in the timeline. My source material was a vhs tape that required that I capture the audio and video at different speeds. The reason for this is the original tape had so much interference that I attributed to a tracking problem in the camera, the image could barley be seen. I used a good s-vhs deck for playback tried a tbc etc.
The audio however is fine. I found that by slowing down the vhs-tape during playback I got an acceptable image to capture
Now with both clips in the timeline I tried using the velocity envelope on the video portion to speed it up to match the audio. First I rendered the video track separately at a faster speed to get it closer to the audio track. Now when I try to move the velocity envelope to match the video with the audio track I find I can’t get a fine enough adjustment to get it in sync. I am between 100%- 106%. I need to be somewhere in between these to values. Any tips on how to do this?
Thanks for any suggestions
